So great that you found us! Art of Colors is the place to be where you can launch your career professionally as a makeup artist or hairstylist. Our makeup artist training courses form the starting point for a career as a makeup artist.
Art of Colors was founded in 2005 by Judith Doodeman. After 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Judith wanted to start a makeup school where students learn the make-up profession in a safe and professional environment. During her career, Judith saw situations backstage that she really wanted to change.
Art of Colors is for everyone that wants to make makeup their career. It doesn't matter who, what or how old you are. If you want to make a success of your passion for make-up, you've come to the right place. During the Art of Colors make-up courses, all students receive the same attention and opportunities. In addition to the lessons, we immerse you in make-up with amazing free masterclasses & events and we coach you to your job in make-up. The personal coaching at Art of Colors gives you the opportunity to find a job after your training via the job selection for high-end make-up brands such as NARS, MAC Cosmetics & de Bijenkorf or the Art of Colors Agency (freelance).
Judith didn't want the school to get her name. She has therefore chosen to give the school the name 'Art of Colors makeup artist school' and to join forces with teachers and photographers who all bring a large pack full of experience. This has proven to be a good formula from the start and Art of Colors has grown into the largest & leading make-up school in the Netherlands. Students graduate with a high level and professional portfolio. This translates back to a lot of students on the workplace in all segments of the beauty industry.
Art of Colors is also seen internationally. Students from all over the world are inspired by our images on social media and find their way to our English-language makeup artist courses. Our lesson locations can be found in the heart of Amsterdam and Hoorn in historic city center buildings in easily accessible places.
