The Advanced Makeup Artist Course is the top training of Art of Colors. Only students who have been nominated during the Pro Makeup Artist Course can start this training.
With this training of 7 masterclass lessons & photo shoots, we prepare you to become an even better makeup artist in three months, with the help of makeup artist educators and photographers from the profession. At the end of the course you will have 7 photo shoots and photos for your portfolio.
What you learn
The Advanced Makeup Artist Course continues where the Pro Makeup Artist Course stops. You will raise your level as a makeup artist and learn creative and out-of-the-box thinking. With this top-level training at Art of Colors, a close eye is kept on current trends. This is why no two masterclasses from the Advanced Makeup Artist Course are the same. So, what do you learn? From developing concepts and discovering your own creativity to applying various trends (covering brows, experimenting with textures, avant-garde and graphic liners) that are hot and happening.
Experienced educators, makeup artists, each with their own expertise, who have worked in the industry for a long period teach the master classes. Included in the lineup of our previous masterclasses are
Maaike Beijer, NARS Educator Diana Ashrafie, Viviënne de Rop, Naima Bremer, Jimmy Stam en Bjorn Mohamadmoesman. In addition to this, your work is captured by a top photographer such as Boy Surminski, Gail Meijer, Joe Mc Millen, Anais Germaine, Nina Kim of Richard Monsieurs at the end of the masterclasses.
How to be eligible
The level of the Advanced Class is – as the name suggests – considerably higher than the makeup artist professional training. To ensure that the level is a lot higher, only the best students can get a place. The nominated students will be announced at the end of the Pro Makeup Artist Course. Once you have been nominated you are entitled to register for this Advanced Makeup Artist training.
Unfortunately, students who have completed their course at another school cannot participate in the Advanced Makeup Artist Course. Our experience is that they do not have the level required for this training.
The price tag
€125 at registration. When registering, we ask to pay €125 registration fee. From that moment on we will keep a place for you. After paying the registration fee, you can cancel free of charge for 14 days.
5x €269 monthly or the full tuition fee of €1320 in one go (a discount of €25 is deducted when paying in one go).

- The course consists of 7 masterclasses of 4 hours each (the home study is about 3 hours a week).
- The total duration of the course is about 3 months.
- A total of 7 masterclasses, plus a free, optional entrepreneur lesson to learn everything you need to know about starting your own company as a makeup artist in the Netherlands
- Each masterclass has a different theme depending on the makeup artist giving the class and the photographer
- Your work is captured by a professional photographer at the end of every masterclass.
- You must bring a model to every masterclass. You can use our free online model databank and our connections with model agencies
- As a student, you bring your own makeup set
